Completely agree with both points (although I'm not sure how they can cheat as they're not competing). Massa was rampant at the start, seemed to get forgotten after his tyre failed but his recovery was as impressive as anyone's.

I was so angry with Pirelli watching that today. Their refusal to acknowledge their tyres are dangerous is putting lives at risk.

Pfft, Hamilton reprimand for unsafe pit entry in Quali, Rosberg reprimand for speeding under yellow flags. Ban YDT for an illegal test. Suddenly driving for 1-2's after 3 years of being an utter joke of a team. A tyre supplier that is lethal. To be fair, I am glad Schumacher retired/bailed when he did, it was he that claimed that Pirelli were going too far and everybody on here and everywhere else dismissed him as not being able to cope with it.

F1 has been dissolved into a circus, other sports look down on this as a calamitous event. Just disgusting. The crowd reaction at Vettel was disgusting, you would not see that in an opposite scenario with Hamilton in Hockenheim. But what do you expect from the toothless numbwit, biased British eh...

It's over, F1 will never reach the peaks it did. End of.

I'm not sure what your point is. If a tyre's going to explode if it runs over rumble strips or bits of debris you shouldn't put them on an F1 car. It's all very well identifying what's causing the failures but you have to do something about it. 20 tyres have failed in eight races this season, they're not one offs, the tyres can't stand the rigours of F1. They have to be changed. I can't believe after today people are still defending the tyres.

It wasn't the rumble strip in itself, it was the jagged edges at the rear of the strip, as if someone didn't lay them properly, which being British, wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Also, i have to agree with Manny, the crowd reaction to Vettel's retirement was a joke. Do they only let ignorant morons into Silverstone or am i missing something?

"We had that tyre test to develop and improve the tyre and after that test they didn't do anything about it," Hamilton added.

Uh-huh except because of your teams greedy actions regarding that test Pirelli clearly can't, or don't want to use those tyres now do they? Because the other teams know Mercedes will have been given an even greater advantage. So it’s either that or bring in tyres that haven’t properly been tested, which is exactly why rules on testing are put in place so we don’t get in stupid ass situations like this.

I understand the frustrations in your comments, however there are so many holes and contradictions in that from past events where the crowds (both at British and Foreign circuits) have cheered the demise of other drivers I don't have time to list them all :) But please do not single out the British, who are some of the most passionate and knowledgeable of all motor sports fans and are fairer than most when it comes to acknowldeging the attributes of other drivers.

Not as bad as us. At least they have the nationalist and casual racism arguments, we don't.

You do realize that Hill had to be escorted in and out of Hockenhiem in '94 due to death threats? He wasn't exactly liked over there. I hate all the crap about how it's just the British... Blinkered, unfounded bull ****!

Finally watched the race, congrats to Nico and really impressed with Hamilton's come back but why were the tyres having a day of fails.
    McLaren are still awful.

Vettel's demise was cheered because he's disliked. Simple.

They paid they money, they can boo or cheer who they like.

Just listened to the Chequered flag podcast.... What the hell has happened to that? More time talking about Rugby than F1. Utter tosh.

No-one likes that level of dominance, except those who support the dominator. Also, I swear Vettel has been booed at other races, so not just British fans

Why are people so bent out of line about crowd reaction? You do realise that's more pathetic than boo-ing or jeering ever will be? It's a bit of fun, in the business of entertainment, get over it, Vettel will have done.

Not many people want to see imperious Red Bull and Vettel constantly maintain a gap at the front for the billionth time, that doesn't mean they think he's a rubbish driver. Get off that oversized horse.

I take the same issue with those who refrain from boo-ing at football games. Boring people who can't see the trivial nature of sport and take it with the passion.
