I'd like to think you are right, I have been a defender of Guly against the negativity of some sections, but playing him at the attacking point of a diamond on a regular basis in the Premiership.. maybe as an impact sub.. The other option is to play Lallana centrally, move Fox forward and get another fullback, if Shaw isn't ready. However Guly can disappear as he did in many away games last season, and I'm not sure of Fox's capabilities when the game isn't in front of him. So on balance I still feel we need two quality midfield players. In my original post I neglected to mention De Ridder in my midfield musings.. enough said.
