Possible but will he go for a draw at home? my feeling is that he will want to continue his winning run and beating us will boost his popularity with their fans. I think he will put out a very attacking formation.

Form isn't just about league games. You have to take into account cup games also, it's all form surely? <whistle>

Update: After the cup games, the points gap between Liverpool and Man U remains unchanged.

Surely the author of this thread and everybody that's contributed to it up to my post, has done so to make convince themselves to feel better? At least I have a real reason to <whistle>

Being 5 points behind, and leading half way through a semi-final?
I suppose it is an improvement.

Back to points again. I think you lot struggle to understand form is about wins, draws and losses - not points. Spin it how you want though.

Well yes, it is from earlier in the season.
We have shown some improvement in form during the course of the season so far, have Liverpool?

We started well, then we had a dip. More or less the opposite of you, but fortunes fluctuate throughout a season so who knows what will happen?

I thought the discussion was about form to date (including current) not future guesses :emoticon-0100-smile

I must say again though, form is your last game and I have never set any store in it <ok>

So your current form is good*, and ours is iffy, yet we're still ahead of you. So what does it tell you?

    * I'll leave Astro to point out how many dodgy decisions have contributed to this. :)

After watching how suspect we were on the break last night, I can see Mourinho playing in much the same way as Southampton. Why wouldn't he. Can see him playing pace against us up front to do this.

Form is just the last game? Or it stops at the last game? I'd agree with the latter. Chelsea were on some of the best form since football began in '92, over a 13 game period.
I'd say form is measurable over a minimum of a 3 game period. If a team is on a run of games with a 0.5 win ration (e.g WLWDWL) then there is no form to measure imo.
At the moment Utd are on a good run of form. We were on good form until the Sunderland game. It doesn't mean **** for the next game it's just pretty to look at when you're doing well.

Nothing has changed. Since the game at Anfield we have still picked up more points than utd

Form is quite often different between each competition. Different approach, mentality, lineup and same applies for the opposition too. Considering our poor form in 2017 so far, we are 1 point closer to the team in front of us and we are still in both cup competitions. Although it obviously can be much better. Wouldn't swap the last 3 results if we were to beat you in Sunday. <ok>
