The main reason I made Palace or defining fixture is because their away form is lousy, but they are still battlers. Our performances at home has not been as good as away ones, a draw or win against us would give Palace a boost us a clearer picture of the desire of other teams around us. After all they are the ones with slightly more points than us.

McShane was Rosenior's replacement you ****ing moron. <doh>

The idea that Macca 'held our defence together', genuinely made me laugh.

You should be laughing at your fellow Hull posters, plenty of them say the same thing.

"That's why he's revered as such a hero for us now."

Anyway, as long as he won't be missed <ok>

    No, no I shouldn't.

He is revered at City because he went from a joke player to a fully committed and dependable back-up player who played an important role in our promotion last season. However, to suggest that Rosenior is his stand-in and that he holds our defence together is quite funny.

He will be missed given that Rosey & Chester are out too, but they should be back soon. Appreciate the concern. <ok>

    I didn't say that.

I said the replacements for McShane & Rosenior aren't that good.

After your recent arse kickings, on here, you thought you'd spotted the chance for some revenge.

Sadly you got yourself over excited and f**ked up again.

You claimed Macca held our defence together, that shows you don't know the first thing about our team.

    Actually you can help tbh.

All 'banter' etc aside there's something that honestly puzzles me.

I've been on these boards for donkey's years and have noticed something that Hull posters do that's a little unique.

Hull posters, such as yourself, do two things that I don't often see elsewhere.

Firstly, you will attack anyone who makes any comments about your players even in a positive way as if no one else has the right. You're incredibly touchy and ultra defensive about Hull.

Secondly, you'll often claim that other supporters know nothing about Hull City, the manager or the players.

I accept that people probably know as much about Sunderland as I do, wherever they're from.

In these days of 24 hour sports coverage, every match being available live or recorded and endless chat forums I'd say everyone has the same information 99% of the time.

I accept that chatting with your own supporters, at the match etc, is different but do any of those people really say anything different to what's said on here?

All of the ITK stuff is on these pages within seconds and tbh Sky Sports probably knows more than any of us if we're being truthful.

Just a question, don't get all defensive on me.

It's true that the television coverage these days means you're likely to see every team play 4/5 times a season, but that's not the same as seeing 35/36 games a side plays. Highlights tend to show very little about a side.

I've no problem with other fans offering thoughts on our side. Some of your lot and certainly a lot of the Saints fans spoke a lot of truth about our side, but McShane holding our defence together? I had to comment on that because frankly, it's just plain wrong. Not even a creditable opinion as Macca is a back-up player who doesn't get a look in when we've not got injuries at the back.
