Wasn't he a Great Train Robber? Versatile and talented. Actually,Alfie scored quite a few goals for Bristol Rovers, against The Swans'.
I was merely returning the phrase whence it came,i.e.,back at you. I tend to do that,so stop whingeing and have another glass of Retsina.

And it could pave the way for the troubled 29-year-old to sign for a Spanish fourth tier outfit in a desperate last gasp bid to rescue his ailing career. Instead, they are likely to fork out a reduced amount to terminate the lucrative contract he signed in January 2013 after a stunning start to life in South Wales. But it is clear the Swansea hierarchy are keen to wash their hands of the hitman, whose ability to resume his playing days remain shrouded in doubt. Michu has not kicked a ball in competitive football for more than a year after his loan move to Napoli was wrecked by further problems to the ankle injury that plagued the latter end of his time at the Liberty. He was then handed a bumper new Swans deal and a £30m price tag to ward off suitors from across Europe’s top leagues. Yet personal issues and problems with his ankle emerged over the course of his second season before he asked to quit the club last summer. Negotiations are thought to have been amicable, though, and sources in Spain have now suggested a final pay off is close.
We'll never see his like again. Good luck to him. Very sad that the process has taken so long to resolve. Thank goodness for u tube, where some of his exploits in The Swans' colours can be seen in perpetuity. He set the footballing world alight, putting The Swans' in the limelight. The current squad will collectively struggle to light a sparkler come the 5th November.
I for one will never forget contributions made by "The Spanish Armada" led by Michu , low cost ,high value. Most walk by Michu to get to Bony to throw accolades but I will never walk past the superb season he and we had our historic Cup winning season.. All the best luck to him , he deserves it
Guys if we could have the Michu who was here in his first season, injury free, I would have him back in a second, he was class, unfortunately things went bad and nothing lasts forever. Still loved watching him in that first season and how good was the football that season. Oh if we could just play a bit like that now.
You have a point. It's not just the absence of an excellent front player like Michu in his prime, it's the fact we are collectively so poor right now. All very sad.
There was a mishit which sneaked in,but the rest were quite superb. I just love seeing Wenger's reaction. He had earlier asked "Who is this Michu?"
If you have time look at that video again on the previous page. Many, many times Michu was set up by none other than Jonathan De Guzman. I know he divided opinion but I liked him.
