He's scored one in one in the Premier League and one in two in the FA Cup since coming back from his second bad injury, he's on fire and deserves his call-up, if he still played for us you'd be slagging off the England set-up if they hadn't called him up.
I assume he means in the squad, rather than in the XI. Hart is well above the rest. I like the look of Stockdale as a possible No 2. The truth is that at the moment we're fairly weak because the generation of players aged 24-30 is poor - of them only Hart and Rooney are international class, which means we have to rely too much on younger and older players (Wilshere, Sturridge, Welbeck, A Cole, Gerrard, Terry, Parker). We're particularly short in goal and up front (often our best positions in the past 30-40 years), while the midfield/wing is actually fairly deep in reasonable quality. Remember the Geoff Thomas/Carlton Palmer days? Parker, Barry etc are a huge step up from them.
Well done to Stewart on getting the under 21s call up. As for Campbell, he's been in great form since coming back from his injury so deserves a call up on his recent efforts.
Cam's unlikely to be playing 90 mins, he may get some playing time but won't be too knackered to play for us on Friday..
