Rashford needs to come off, he's been a waste of space and Garnacho is wasted on the right. Rashford offers no industry, no commitment - the cause of the Spurs goal, and now we're down to ten we need Amad to make the most on the right.
It’s depressing! It really doesn’t matter who comes in, the outcome tends to underwhelm. Looks like we will lose this match… that’s three losses in six with two of those at home. Just fkin pathetic!
My bet is that he stays which will be shocking! We will then turn looking for the next manager into a farce.
The 'problem'' with putting Ruud in charge, is he'll want the job full time. Which is fine I guess, but do we want another Ole situation where he wins a few games and they rush to give him a five year contract, and we fall off the cliff again? If Ruud gets it, it's till end of season when he can apply for the job full time, with all thre other potential candidates. They've got to do it right, for ****ing once.
ETH is toast, get rid, it's like watching a pet die, the sooner he's put out of his misery the better, and we can all move on but not with Southgate.
How much spent ? Almost everyone on that pitch in a red shirt was one of his players, no more excuses.
Wonder what routine generic response he will have in the interview. "Its my fault" "They are not motivated" "Spurs wanted it more" "We need to take look at ourselves" etc etc. Even I am running out of patience and getting tired of his excuses and I aint even a United fan
The notion that players have to be a manager’s hand picked players is deeply flawed. What will happen with the next manager? Should they come in and make excuses that the players are not theirs? So we go on another spending spree? I believe the current setup in place is to avoid that specific scenario. Get a decent manager in, and he has to work with the players given to him.
Zirkzee isn't the answer, he's nothing more than a support act and will be lucky to score more than ten in a season and Rashford has to go, he hasn't the heart for the fight.
Only another billion to go and you might get to our "lofty position". Money means **** all really, unless it is spent correctly. Is ETH actually controlling the signings at United at the moment?
We played really well but was genuinely surprised by United. We were without Son, are fragile away from home but apart from a 15 minute spell we were allowed to do what we wanted. Tbh I think managers need to be given time but this season united look worse than any time in adult life.. I know he's won you two trophies but can't see him lasting. The players look lost so what ever he's doing ain't working
With the new setup, starting from this season, the manager is no longer going to be in charge of controlling signings. Influence, yes! But not in charge. The sad reality is that we have not shown signs of getting in the last 18 months. The first year was okay but you would expect the team to build on it given how much investment was made. Obviously too many poor signings.
"“I don’t think it was a red card. It was only 1-0, we could have made a comeback and it had a big impact on the game. “Our first-half was no good, it is not possible that a player can dribble through our whole team and set up a goal. You have to stop that. I made clear before the game how we have to defend it. We lost confidence, we can do better and all of the players know this. “We were indisciplined. We were too stressed on the ball. Twente scored exact same goal. Ran through the fkin midfield like the players had no breakfast. We brought in Ugarte who was put on so much pressure before even kicking a ball to fix a dead midfield setup by the manager. And if players are so indisciplined and he’s been working with them for so long, shouldn’t he just resign? Oh yeah, he won’t! He wants to be sacked to cash in good pay off. But the bosses are not decisive enough to just do it. Madness all around! Fk pathetic!
Southgate has achieved nothing. He's just a loser ultimately, has won **** all with a very, very decent set of players at his disposal.
