Never been so pleased to be proved wrong - what a performance, all over the pitch - Ugarte was outstanding and Maguire played a great game.,

Need to do it again. And again.

But yeah, that was really very good and we should have won.

Bruno was a beast in that match. When he plays to the best of his potential by dictating the plays, the team tends to respond. Whenever he stinks, it is like playing with a man down. This is a massive problem for us and it means we need another creative player in the midfield.

It was never a penalty against Maguire so Odegaard deserved to miss, however Ugarte was fortunate not to get a red in the scuffle afterwards.

your keeper did well because in the shootout he stayed on his line and watched the Arsenal players, Raya was diving well before any of yours hit it making it far easier for you.

We don't need a striker apparently.

I just don´t get this playing out from the back crap. At worst, a long punt from the keeper results in a 50-50 on the half way line.... all this poncing around playing pretty bollocks only creates jeopardy in our own last third.

So we can’t beat Southampton it must be because we are missing a striker? Really now?!

Do you actually watch games? Genuinely?

We have missed countless sitters. Or been in a situation where there is no one in there.

Hojlund is invisible when he's on the pitch. Zirkzee is clearly a No 10, he's never a centre forward.

Yes, we need a ****ing striker!

Granted I’m not watching this one. But we can’t suggest the reason we weren’t scoring goals against teams that are lower than us is because of a lack. Not even Amorim would say that. We should not be struggling for goals at home.

    We are though!

We created chances, or got into a position where it should be a simple final pass into the box, and there's no one there.

I said when we signed him, I've said ever since, and I'm saying again now.
Hojlund is not the finished article and he can't be expected to learn the game and carry the forward line on his own, at the same time.

He needs help. He needs a senior finished article to learn from and who can give him a break.

    This all still stands.

How long do we hook Hojlund before we realise that he is too young and too inexperienced. Zirkzee was an instant improvement but also needs an experienced striker to play off. Good result, good response to going behind.

Zirkzee deserves a run, he should play instead of Garnacho.

No idea who goes to centre forward though!

I'd be half tempted to play Fernandes there, with Zirkzee and Amad either side.

Shame Rashford decided to give up, he could have played there.

    Doesn't like to though, so..........

I'd be tempted to play Fernandes at centre forward.

    Amad and Zirkzee either side.

Dalot can then come back as RWB, Mazaroui stays at LWB, and I'd **** Ugarte off after that tonight and have Collyer and Mainoo as the centre midfield.

Maguire comes back in ahead of a shell-shocked Yoro.
But then when Yoro was being skinned, Amad was the RWB and a defender he ain't.

Unbelievably, Antony improved things playing there as Amad could then concentrate on being further forward and scoring a bloody hat trick!
