I have a sneaking suspicion that Watford might not be the team that slips up. I could see Bournemouth dropping points and letting both of us in. Granted I'm going on match reports but it sounds like they're getting fairly shakey, Bolton or charlton could easily put in a resolute performance and deny them.
Well, at least I suppose it keeps things clear. If Forest had won, we would have needed to decide whether to play to beat Boro or whether to play cautiously because a draw would have been good enough. Now we know that we have to play to win in all our last three games.
Yes, unfortunately we achieve no advantage from playing teams in the bottom half of the table. We've averaged 1.9 points per game for both top and bottom half teams. Compare that to Watford who average 2.5 for the bottom half and 1.29 for the top.
I guess the good news is that it ought to give us confidence in the play offs but frankly it's awful to think that getting beaten by Wigan at home could stop us getting promoted.
That would of course be a great result but it doesn't change anything............

There's bound to be more twists and turns before the end of the season. The most important thing for now is to concentrate on beating Boro in our next game. That will realistically end their chances of automatic promotion and mean it's then two from three.
Or Reading, or Brentford!!!! Or only getting draws with Leeds, Birmingham and Rotherham at CR!!
From my reading of the FL rules, if two teams have same GD & GS then it goes on results between each other. i.e. head to head.(Had results been equal, then a play off match is required.) From a WFC perspective Norwich (or Bournemouth) are better than WFC who are better then boro.
Whilst equal GD seems possible, I would be surprised if the GS figures are the same. There again, Norwich have to play Fulham !
I cannot say I enjoy the thought of losing out to Norwich on the basis of a very dubious sending off at Norwich, followed by the most blatant audition for a role in films or theatre by Hoolagan at Vicarage road.
Following your thread here , seems identical to WFC's on Leeds/Norwich. I've never ever before hoped that Leeds would win.

To be fair Rob, I spend a lot of time on their board and they crticize their own divers just as soundly!
I'd probably be more relaxed if he hadn't gloated about it to the WFC players afterwards. I'm not bitter, and not hypocritical. I find 'cheating' distasteful and cannot wait for video replays to eliminate it. Presumably you find it acceptable if it helps your team.
Actually, I don't, as I think cheating is cheating!!
I've been wanting video replays for years for red cards and penalties only.

I find hypocrisy distasteful. I'm as keen as anyone for it to be eliminated, but I am resigned to the fact that there is no proper control - so as all teams do it at the moment, including Norwich, I won't be so arrogant as to criticise other teams' players with double-standards.
A copuple of weeks after the norwich game Forestieri got dog's abuse from many of our fans for his part in the sending off of a Wolves player. I noted that Hoolihan's actions drew a fair amount of criticism from your own fans. I said at the time that I was disappointed with the team's reaction after the penalty as we should have just got on with it whereas some allowed it to linger too long.
The season is 46 games and one incident in February isn't going to make the difference - if we're beating Wednesday 1-0 on 2 May and they get a dodgy 94th minute penalty that ultimately dumps us into the play offs that will be different

I think relationship between Bournemouth / Norwich / Watford / 'Boro is generally pretty good.
I don't think there has really been any major events to stir up any real rivalry in recent times. I'd also suppose that all four are fairly 'likable' clubs (IMO anyway).

Given where we are, I just hope that there aren't any dubious decisions in the final 3 games. We've had enough of them already this season!
