Its boring now. Rosy was offered a contract but refused, as did Quinn. Ince went Bruce didnt want him to go.
Quinn wanted more financial security, getting rid of McShame was an overdue masterstroke. Jury's out on Boyd- looks OK at this level but a passenger in the PL Rosenior- past his best, needed a younger more ambitious player with a higher sell on value.
don't let the facts get in the way - Rosie, Macca, Quinn and Junior were all discussing contract extensions since before Xmas - they were all withdrawn in the new year because it was clear that Brucie had ****ed up and we might get relegated - Macca and Rosie were not offered new contracts again but released, Junior had mysteriously signed his, despite it being withdrawn and despite it not being signed beforehand, -- Brucie dicked Quinnie about so much that he left and Brucie dicked Ince about as well so he left - ultimately they all left because of Brucie
That site just guess people earnings, it's complete bollocks. It says Ryan Taylor earns £750 a week and plays for Locomotiv Moscow.
Odubajo was brought in to replace Rosie and he's an upgrade with potential sell on value, smart move. Also Clucas has scored more than Quinn and Boyd combined this season.
Also most of these strengthened their squads with good experienced players where needed in January. Failure to do this was one of the reasons we went down last year and is part of our current predicament this year.
Main reasons for failure last season and this season: 2014-2015 Selling Shane Long 2015-2016 Not buying Andre Gray
I agree with both your comments but we couldn't turn that amount of money down for Shane Long Peter, it was far too good. Not buying Gray was (I believe) lack of commitment from King Tut.
Seemed that way at the time but clearly with hindsight it wasn't good value as it turned out, since the best we could get for that money was Hernandez.
Trading Quinn for Clucas was an improvement. Quinn was decent, but Clucas has been better, in practically every department.
We should have used the Long transfer money to sign Deeney from Watford, a player I rate highly - proved it in the PL with Watford this season. Our record for signing strikers from the continent is worse than appalling. Hernandez has done 'OK' this season, and so he bloody should do at £10m. The rest have been shockers.
