QPR will be aiming to break two unwanted records when they head to the City Ground – the home of Nottingham Forest – in the third round of the FA Cup this weekend.

Rangers have never won at the home of the Tricky Trees in 30 attempts, whilst the R’s recent FA Cup record is also one to forget, with the Hoops having won only two FA Cup matches in the last 15 seasons.

Forest are a club QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink knows well, of course, having spent 18 months with the Reds as a coach.

However, old friendships will be put on hold for 90 minutes on Saturday, with the R’s gaffer still looking for his first win in the Hoops managerial hot-seat.

Both sides are likely to make changes for the third round tie, with Hasselbaink confirming he will rotate his squad, with two away league matches – at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday and at Rotherham United next weekend – on the immediate horizon this week.

James Perch and Charlie Austin are both closing in on returns from recent injuries, whilst Ben Gladwin is sure to be involved after he was recalled early from his loan spell at Swindon Town.

Forest will still be without Andy Reid (groin), Britt Assombalonga (knee), Daniel Pinillos (knee) and Matty Fryatt (Achilles).

Cheers nines. Shan't be glued to updates this afternoon but look forward to hearing how the B team play

I like the idea of starting with 12 players on the pitch, hope the ref doesn't notice........

Thanks 999s... Taking a day of football..out on the Razz in Camden Town with my two girls......shopping, drinks, Burlesque club!!!!*...bet you wish you were here....(except for the shopping obviously)....Will be looking in all afternoon......Come on Rrrrs prove my old superstition that the Rrrrs do so much better if I ignore them....

F*ck me......must have found Kneecaps tombola for that one.......

Saving Smithies for Tuesday at Blackburn is the only thing I can think off......

I'm not sure either Luongo or Gladwin are holding midfield players are they?

Do they need to be? They're both mobile. Since when did a team have to have a player incapable of passing the ball and therefore labelled a holding player. Neither Sandro nor Henry have protected the defence much at all from what I've seen.
