Agreed. Want to see Fuller, could see him causing problems for their defence.

Jackson is going have to watch it. One more cheap foul and he could walk!

Rearrange the following words to make a sentence: kid, toffee, taking, like, a, off......

Poor show. I suspect there may be more of this to come this season. Didn't think Forest looked all that in the second half. We have no shape whatsoever.

First bit of football we play and we score! There's a moral there somewhere. Where did this come from?

Congratulations to forest- they were by far the better team. Need to see a response next week, one bad performance out of 4 doesn't make us a bad team. Although that was one of the most boring, depressing games I've been to. They gave us nothing to shout about, and we didn't. Very quiet.

Also, can I be enlightened to the first goal. Didn't see it clearly but the talk around me was that it went through Hamer? Though it looked like cox tripped over himself for the FK.

No idea what happened for first goal, softest free kick I've seen in a long time, hamer got stick from jacko, kermit, morro and wiggins but to me morro missed it too. Second goal no idea what we complained about wiggins was down but didn't think it was a foul, but hamer, morro and kermit all complained to the lino. Fuller class above everyone else was superb once he came on. Sooner pritchard is back to the reserves the better match rating of 1 was so poor. Might have been said earlier where was stephens? And haynes looked slow

Just in the door now - took the scenic route

Forest very much the better team throughout, cut through us far too easily. How we were in with a shout of a late equaliser I'll never know...

When they turned it on, we had no answer, and our midfield went to pieces. They sat back a bit late in the first half and second half and that let us back into the game.

I think I'd be happy if I was a Forest fan. They had pace, movement and desire... Above all, they seemed a lot more 'up for it' than Charlton on the day

First goal, not sure that was a foul, think Hamer was expecting a header so was not in the right position for a shot straight from the free... I think

Fuller made a difference when he came on, and Kerkar looked lively too. Midfield shored up a bit when BWP moved back, but hard to tell how much of that was tactical from Charlton and how much was Forest protecting what they had.

Two weeks to conjure up a response, and it's against Palace, so up to Powell to set it up

Just to cheer us up. On a tour of England, the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the Kent coast. His 4x4 Pope-Mobile was driving along the golden sands when there was an enormous commotion. They rushed to see what it was and upon approaching the scene the Pope noticed just outside the surf, a hapless man wearing a Crystal Palace shirt, struggling frantically to free himself from the jaws of a 20 foot shark! At that moment a speedboat containing three men wearing Charlton tops roared into view. Spontaneously, one of the men took aim at the shark and fired a harpoon into its ribs, immobilising it instantly. The other two reached out and pulled the Palarse fan from the water and then, using long clubs, beat the shark to death. They bundled the bleeding, semi-conscious man into the speedboat along with the dead shark and prepared for a hasty retreat, when they heard frantic calling from the shore......It was the Pope, summoning them to the beach. Upon reaching land, the Pope went into raptures about the rescue and said,"I give you my blessing for your brave actions. I'd heard there were horrible people trying to divide the people of Britain but now I have seen with my own eyes this is not true". "I can see your society is a truly enlightened example of tribal harmony which could serve as a model for other nations." He blessed them all and drove off. As he departed, Typical. the harpoonist asked the others, " Hey Ponders and Stu Who was that?!" "That," Ponders answered, "was his Holiness the Pope. He is in direct contact with God and has access to all God's wisdom." "Well," Typical the harpoonist replied, "he knows absolutely f--k all about shark fishing,

We shouldn't be negative. We knew it was going to be much tougher than last season. We have a good championship team, but alas there are several teams who are better.

The manner of the defeat was disappointing, but it's all in the reaction now. Our midfield is a concern- Pritchard in the centre is a big no no for me. Hollands was completely over run and often had 2 men running at him. We missed Stephens.

Cook was largely disappointing, but we need to find his position. Showed some nice touches, but he gave possession away too cheaply.

Did anyone else have problems in trying to work out which formation we were playing?

To end on a positive note- Leon Cort is a man mountain. My MOM.

Not negativity for the sake of it. We have played 4 and have a perfectly symmetrical record of won 1 drawn 2 lost 1. Most of us would have taken that. I am pleased that last years team are getting the chance to prove themselves. But I have seen 3 of our 4 games and I have some worries. These are mainly to do with the fact that our inspirational captain from last year is clearly way off the pace this year, we have very little balance in midfield, our fullbacks who gave us so much attacking width last year are not getting past the half way line this time round and our arguably best midfielder has just had his head turned. There are a lot of positives too. Fuller looks like a great addition and I was surprised how good Kerkar looked. cP has a job to do now. We are about to find out how good we really are. We were rank bad for 60 minutes today against an admittedly good side but we should have sneaked a draw. By the same token we really should have lost both our home games. It's a funny old game and there will be highs and lows all season. This was a bad day at the office. There will be more. But onwards and upwards

I've been quoted on a Forest forum <yikes>

Stand by what I said, thought they were excellent, especially in the first half. Should've been 3-0 at half time imo.

Also like the way they seem to have sold tickets in sections, keeping entire blocks empty, but packing out where tickets are sold. I reckon this will improve the atmosphere.

Pity they ruin that benefit by playing Chelsea Dagger when they score a goal.

    Agree pretty much with IA.

Fuller was more or less the only bright spot, you saw exactly what he is all about the moment he touched the ball, controlled it dead, turned and ran at the defence, holding off players with his brute strength. Until that point Forest had the measure of our attack, but he terrified them. I hope he gets officially awarded the goal rather than it being given as a GK own goal. If we can keep him fit he will tear this division apart.

Strength is indeed an issue with our team - players like Pritchard and Cook are lightweights who, although capable players, need to beef up if we are to win the midfield battles. Collective pie-eating after training methinks.

Forest will take some beating on this evidence. Their number 4 (Gillett I think) did a perfect job protecting the defence and playing the simple balls to get an attack going, despite being smaller than Chris Solly, and their attacking play was at times bewildering, Reid being integral to it. I envy their strength in depth, too, which we simply don't have (although having wealthy middle-eastern owners helps in that regard).

I just hope we learn from how Forest play, and give Palace a proper stuffing.
