So it seems to have been a lie about the injury....but the truth may be stranger than the lie Armand Traore made an unusual debut for Nottingham Forest as he reportedly arrived late at Alfreton Town before scoring an own goal in a 3-3 draw on Friday night. The left-back, who signed a three-year deal with Forest on Friday was set to start against the National League North side later in the day. However, he did not arrive at the Impact Arena sufficiently early according to the home club, leaving Elvis Otim to start. The former Arsenal and QPR defender did come on at the break though, but he was credited with Alfreton's third goal after he seemingly got the final touch when challenging Paul Clayton for a header. Compared to Bosingwa, Samba, Sandro and many, many others he was a triumph. We forget just how shockingly pi55poor a huge proportion of our purchases have been over the past 4 years.
Once we get rid of Caulker and Sandro, isn't that all of the "talented enough, but doesn't try hard enough" gone? Does that mean we're left with all of the "tries hard enough, but not enough talent"? I fear so...although I'm still not sure Gladwin even fits in that class.
I for one am looking forward to Ben Gladwin surprising us all with a few glitzy gritty performances and I am a patient man
