This thread has run and run to the point of inducing narcolepsy .. so I'm now going to say something that might be unthinkable Could it be that the chants by the Forset fans, in reality, were not racist at all? I have a revolutionary theory that they might just have been a crude attempt to wind up their noisy neighbours over a football match .. How many casualties were there? ... how many people went home and lost sleep over the prospect of 'not being English any more' ?... When I was a lad my mum and dad (bless them), through a mixture of love and nurture, left me in no doubt that during my lifetime there would be times where I might be disappointed or, god forbid, even have my feelings hurt ... they were right! .. on some occasions this has been caused by women and also from supporting a ****e footie team ... nevertheless, I still have an all encompassing love for both! .. I realise that this may not be a popular view, but the phrase 'sticks and stones etc...' does have some resonance with me ... you can't go through life expecting everyone to like you, be nice to you, or see the world in the way you do ... so for me .. to paraphase the words of our 'friends' from East London .. if you don't like me ... frankly ... I don't care ... That humanity is intrinsically flawed as a species is obvious and evident - we exist by killing and eating other creatures ... admittedly a small minority do not, but they suffer from excessive, often smelly, wind - which can make them even more intolerant than their meat eating neighbours .. My mantra is to try and treat others as I would like to be treated .. but I often fail in this ... because, after all, I'm human. My only saving grace is that unlike our close neighbours in Nottingham and Derby I, at least, have been able to mate with women with whom I do not share a common grandparent ... be grateful for small mercies. Now I'm off for a curry, to give the missus one, and to watch the mancs and the scallys compete for the honor of losing to the taffs in a forthcoming cup final - oh ****, I do hope I haven't offended anybody ........
Yes. Deeply so. So hurt in fact, you crawl off and cry in a corner and never return, knowing the pain you will suffer will would be too great.
It beats me why any football supporters are ******ed enough to sing racist songs when pretty much every team in the country has a good proportion of black players. The fact is that racists like members of the BNP /EDF have an agenda to spread racism (god knows we see it on these boards regularly enough) and football fans are an easy target. They know that three or four bone heads can start a chant and before you now it three or four hundred have joined in. Threads like this are good though because at the very least we get to identify the racists among us for future reference.
There's no racists in Leicester. only the ones shouting vile abuse at the soldiers homecoming parade of course.
That was a stupid comment if ever i saw one. The Discrimination Act only provides for a limited number of categories that it covers: 1)Race 2)Gender 3)Sexual Orientation 4)Religion 5)Disability Does Hull fall into any of the above categories????
So where did you come up with that gem of information. People who deny racism exists need to invest in a mirror.
well racists obviously do exist. Id even say most group of friends have often have a racist in it. One of my friends parents are some of the most racist people i have ever met, and i find it just very awkward. With that sort of generation, often id say its lack of education or unaware that you now cannot say it.
