I've been to Paignton once or twice,got some mates living in South Devon. Don't remember much about it TBH,a bit touristy maybe.

We are going for my wifes grans 90th birthday but Ive been to Cornwall loads, used to go twce every Summer with my mates before meeting the Mrs and then now every year with the Mrs as her mums side are all from there
Cornwal is 6 hrs away and Devon 4 and with the little un I always drive past Devon thinking should have stayed there and then drive to Cornwall on the day. Only time been to Devon as a young lad and all I rem is having a sick bug and kept throwing up in my grandads car!
