Means nothing who first got the name, I said to my mates call our band Incubus when we were 14 yrs old, they said no and then up popped an Incubus!

I'll have a look at what you said, I will always be biased towards my Nirvana though, it was my youth and what persuaded me to learn the drums. And they are legendary to be fair

Sorry mate but to me they warrant little more than a footnote in the pantheon of music. But then that's what makes it interesting listening to others favourites.

As for the name then the UK lawyers missed a trick there

Gonna watch another Boardwalk Empire so will leave with this..........

Might be back in an hour.

I love Nirvana but by the time In Utero came out the Grunge scene was on its way out still a great album though. What I mean by defined it is that it was the first album to make people sit up and listen it then has the legs to still be considered a great album. I'm not a huge fan of anything by them since Ten, as with a lot of bands the rawness is lost and over-production destroys the original sound Nevermind is a great example of this, Cobain hated the sound and felt that the songs got lost, when he had control again he went back to the roots of the band and created In Utero which was great to see.

Yeah exactly, totally did his head in. At the end of the day though his brain was never in the right place due to his self destruct button. When they did Bleach was also a good indicator of awesome grunge, I'll go with Ten though, awesome album. To me they never had the same aggressiveness as nirvana though, Cobain used that extremely well

The drummer on Bleach (Chad Channing) got sacked and they brought in Dave Grohl, then they released Nervermind, bet he was sick as a dog at that

There goes my hero by the Foo's is apparently a tribute to Cobain

So is the RHCP song Dani California, the 'Gone to fast' lyrics are about Cobain and in the video you see the candle being blown out just before Anthony Kiedis sings it. Its also the part where they do the Unplugged in New York set up, 2:47 into the vid
