From the album You Can All Join In, a sampler album released by Island in 1969. It had bands on who were doing well on the University circuit, but had yet to break through into mainstream such as Jethro Tull, Free Traffic, Wynder K Frog. Still one of my favourite albums as it catches the mood of the times.

Got my copy from my sister. Her boyfriend bought it her, then she found out he had also bought a copy for her mate who he was seeing behind her back. I was 11 at the time and agreed he was a complete swine and suggested she should have nothing to do with him or his stupid record, then offered to take it off her hands. Still in the collection.

My favourite sampler was Tracks 1973 release Peppermint Allsorts with the following track list:

1. Fire - Arthur Brown
2. Fire Brigade - The Move
3. All Day Watcher - Golden Earring
4. Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
5. Let Us In - Speedy Keen
6. Join Together - The Who
7. Substitute - The Who
8. Keep Your Head Down - Speedy Keen
9. Change In Louise - Joe Cocker
10. Let's See Action - The Who
11. She Wandered Through The Garden Fence - Procol Harum
12. All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix

So I'll play
