If we are talking about Mas Que Nada then what you are hearing is truly the original recording by Jorg Benjor in 1963. The best known version is by Sergio Mendes + Brazil 66 but it's not half as good!

If we are talking about The Beat Goes ON then the original was written and recorded by Sonny & Cher. This version dates from 1998. It's really good though.
