'The Guess Who' wrote it and sang it in 1970 - which is the version above and the version Dave posted.

Hendrix covered it I believe - meaning Lenny 'wannabe Hendrix'' Kravitzs did the same!
But Lenny murdered the original song as you can see below...

One of the greatest mis-attributions in rock history so profuse apologies to Guess Who. However, the major riff in the song is a direct lift from Spanish Castle Magic by Hendrix. Ain't life strange!
Seems to be a lot of people out there that think this was a Hendrix track. Can't see it myself, imo it sounds nothing like him either in vocal or guitar style.
I could understand people confusing it with Zep, because the vocal delivery is similar to Robert Plant's.
