Theres a pub here in Cork called 'The Local' full of riff raff though. How I long for the days of The Screaming Monkey where more 'e' was sold than pints

Trouble is I'm a socialist but NOT a communist

I met the fella that owns the Molly's chain of pubs.
He started off with one bar in Spring TX,hes got to many now.
They open early for the games and do a cracking british breakfest as well.

I blame 2 things for the decline in pub culture.
1 - Wetherspoons
2 - Smoking ban
Now pubs are **** in comparison to the 90's. Back then walking around burning people and gurning was your average Tuesday night![]()
British breakfast![]()
You mean a 'Full English'![]()
So an Irish pub that does Full English breakfest? Must have missed something.
Indeed and now also instead of smelling stale smoke you smell fresh and stale farts ughhhh

The plain red flag is THE socialist flag dave.

I think they call it a 'Full Irish'.
...they do in O'neils anyway!
Agreed Sky but the offy's selling beer/wines/spirits at a price that puts the pubs to shame never helped, its the government taxes on liscensed premises and the alchohol that have closed a lot of boozers.

But as most pubs don't have a decent 'smoking solution' I'll only go when it's not raining or too cold. Now back in Tobago there's no smoking ban but its never goes below 21c at night so who cares if they did!
Is this the Alchoholics Anonymous thread?
Someone put some money in the jukebox for ****s sake.
