Hellboy : The Crooked Man 3/10

Pretty dismal third rate horror with yet another actor playing Big Red.

Acting was average, special effects weren't up to much, not very scary, totty was a Nip (makes a change from negro) and the whole thing felt like a dragged out episode from a Hellboy series rather than a stand alone film. I think Hellboy could work well in a Netflix/Marvel/Disney format, a series of 6 45 minute to an hour episodes could be more interesting than cinematic releases like this.

If you like the others (well, the Ron Perlman ones at least) you might want to give it a go but otherwise I'd avoid it.

I watched a bit of Bargain Hunt this morning, but I never got to see the auction due to unforeseen, unplanned circumstances.

I want to know how much they got for the old stepladder. Will it be repeated on iplayer later or tomorrow?

Ha! Very good.

They paid a tenner for it and hoped to make a few bob on top. Apparently, old stepladders are popular for displaying ornaments, candles and books. Personally, I prefer a good shelf and bookcase, but I can see the appeal of a stepladder.

 

It has certainly helped me through a period of utter doom and despair.
