Binge watched both series of After Life with that there Gervais bloke. I lost count of the number of times the word c.unt was used, even the 100 year old burd said it half a dozen times in her two minute interview. Still, it wasn't too bad and got a laugh despite the subject matter.

Also finished off catching up with Fear of the Walking Dead. Here's a thing - why is everything in the Walking Dead franchise so blandly coloured? I don't mean the actors, plenty of diversity there, but the clothing. I appreciate that things can get a bit grubby and in the zombie apocalypse access to familiar detergents is severely restricted but are you telling me that not one single zombie died while wearing a brightly coloured nylon jacket or football jersey? It's all greys, browns, greens etc with hardly a floral pattern to be seen. When the zombie invasion kicks off I will be sure to put on one of my Hawaiian shirts so that I can stagger about as one of the undead in a cheerful coloured manner.

Watched Children of Dune over the weekend. Made in 2003 or there abouts it's a 3 parter based on Herbert's follow up to Dune. It has a very decent cast with a very young James McAvoy as one of the leads.

You will find it on Amazon prime. Ideal for geeky cùnts like @Toby

Dune was utter pish. No way am watching a follow up.

Frank(ly) Herbert was a writer whose talent is up there with the worst of the absolute worst - Dan Brown and Michael Crichton spring immediately to mind. ****s that deserve a death by bad aids of the arse.

The Dune film was incredibly bad. It is a product of its time though. It's a story that couldn't be told with the technology available at that time. Tbf some of the CGi in Children of Dune leaves a lot to be desired as well but it's a decent fist of the source material though, if you take into consideration the time it was made.

As for you aligning Herbert and the Dune books to Dan Brown!

Shut up you fud. Have you even read Dune?

Micheal Crichton is also a far superior writer than Dan Brown.

The guy who spray painted "stumpy nonce" on your front door is a far better writer than Dan Brown ffs.

    Disagree with this.

    The Dune books are excellent.

Westworld, The Adromoda Strain are excellent.

There is no way that Herbert and Chrighton can be classed in the same category as Dull Brown.

Stop being a prick ya prick.

    Nup.

Crichton was never a writer. He was a jumped up script writer who somehow managed to persuade somebody to publish them as books. His prose and style is every bit as lazy and bad as Dan Brown.

(Yankin yer chain on Herbert, never read any of his stuff )

At a previous job we were encouraged/forced to do training and one course I got sent to was on how to write better reports. Seeing as how that was my bread and butter regarding the role at the time I went along to see if there was anything I could improve on. Turned out to be some hippy looking bint asking everyone what books they read and she was encouraging those who openly admitted to never having read a book to start with Harry Potter.

She looked a tad perplexed when I said that I had three books on the go and wouldn't entertain Potter because I had no time for children's books.

Turned out she didn't know how to write reports either.

I have never understood the sort of twat who actually boasts that they don't read, as if it is some sort of badge of honour to be a mong.
