Mrs Grove is getting into Emergence but it hasn't hooked me yet.

Another example of Token being thrown in as the other half to the lead character. Why can't the lead character be black and have a black husband? Fox TV trying to make up for years of no black faces by squeezing some into mixed race relationships.

Plenty of decent actors of ethnicity out there, it's getting boring only seeing them as part of a dual heritage family.

 

Half way through McMillions, very good documentary about the McDonalds monopoly game scam.

 

Watched Trading Places at the weekend. Still one of the funniest films I've seen. And Jamie Lee Curtis' tits of course.

 

@Ciaran Think it was you Big C that was looking for Friday a few weeks ago, don't know if you got it but its just been added to Netflix today.

Netflix has 2 new releases today,Da 5 Bloods a Spike Lee film starring Delroy Lindo and another Harlan Coben adaption The Woods.

Anyone watched Save Me? I upset Mrs Grove by saying he won't find his daughter in the first series because there was already a second series out. Bit obvious I thought but I got a whack round the head with a cushion for being, and I quote, "a f.ucking smart arse!"

Did not know that Lennie James wrote it as well as starred in it. He's top quality.

 

I won't be watching any black ****e on my TV.

To be honest, I only knew Spike Lee was black about a year ago. Before then, I always associated his name with Spike Milligan and thought, not watching that fenian bastard's films.

just started a french subtitled noir series , Black Spot ... pretty good so far

A film that is not just for Christmas...it's an absolute hoot everytime I watch it, one of my Murphy favourites I have to say. I watched the Golden Child funnily enough a few weeks ago. You ever seen Raw or Delirious?

 

Probably not all the way through although I recall his skits about dropping the ice cream and Mfufu wanting half of everything.
