    Given the Brazilian season finished a couple of weeks ago, I get the feeling that we'd keep Leandro in reserve for the first part of the season and bring him into the team from February onwards, similar to how we used Sandro last season.

    I agree that the system doesn't matter so much against the weaker teams but I think we'd do better with a consistent approach and I think the attacking players we have fit together better in a more flexible structure. Van der Vaart and Kranjcar particularly don't fit well into a 4 4 2.

    If he was knackered by January, it wouldn't remedy the situation - it'd make it worse. The same happened in Pav's first season.
