Crikey, I'd have thought the Watford not606 forum could do with all the help it could get! There can only be about a dozen regular contributors here now - I only look in once a week or so. There is never any 'news' that is less than a day behind other sites. If you want it to dwindle into a knitting circle for 5 or 6 posters, fair enough.

There have only been about a dozen regular contributors on here for the last 18 months harrow - but those such as yourself look in but rarely contribute - 430 posts in two years since the site started? If everyone who "lurks" were to post more regularly we would have a much livelier forum. I would like more people posting but it is not going to happen through News Now I suspect. We have to face the fact that 606 attracted 10 times the number of causal posters and that enlivened the forum. In the early days here Norway and I bent ourselves silly trying to create threads on almost any subject to try to find what would bring people here but it did not really work. So we are left with a nice but small club of hornetophiles.

Not sure why you think our "news" is a day behind - as many here look for and find news items and post them straightaway - but if you can find stuff earlier why not post it here to help us?

I gave this some thought while I was working this afternoon. Maybe the fact that I was working and not sat in front of a computer screen all day says something about the way those who use the site treat it. Looking around some other sites you can see some people who are on-line before I am out of bed and still there when I am ready to crawl between the sheets again. Does it give them an edge in getting the news out first? Not really, they are so busy getting into unruly disputes with others they often miss it.

Today we thought that there might be some news about Bazgate, but it never came. I know that people were keeping an eye on the situation and there has never been a shortage of views when there has been actual news. I would rather talk about actualities rather than make up non-stories and expect others to discuss.
