    Or the defensive training isn't right.

    Perhaps they should give Alladice a bell and have him come and give some training to the back four / defence midfield cos whatever's happening now isn't working.

    That defence would never get into the first team in any of the other top 6 clubs, why do those players manage to get into ours? <doh>

    I hope we go all in for VVD in January and we sign a RCB next summer. Matip is the best defender we have but he really is inconsistent as well.

    And how good was Mendy today. Would have loved to have got him in - pretty much every one of his crosses put us under pressure.

    They were doing OK when it was 11 vs 11.
    The defence could do with improving that's true enough though.
    I refuse to overreact to that result.

    2-0 or 3-0 I could have lived with, but 5-0 shows up our weaknesses to the fore. If Klopp can't see it now then it'shim who should go to Specsavers not the bloody referee!

    Let's hope we can put that demolition behind us.

    Last season we had that psychological edge over the rest of the top 7. Will it remain? Our defence is clearly our weakest link. And I am not sure what else could have been done apart from recruiting VVD. Sakho was good but couldn't remain because of his spat with Klopp.

    Selling Sakho and continuing to use Klavan and Lovren is incredibly stubborn. And I can say that now because of the way he's reintegrating Coutinho into the team.
