The thing is, we could easily make a decent fee on a few of them - Kranjcar, Corluka, Dos Santos - but nobody seems to come in for them.

Last season we put a price of something like £8m on Kranjcar when he was looking to move away, and nobody wanted to meet it - which you have to say is odd, as surely he is worth that kind of money - whilst Dos Santos' desire to return to Spain seeing him turn down a move to Udinese is well documented (as is him being open to a move to Villarreal, until they were relegated from La Liga)

I've said it before that we can use some of them in cash + player deals, certainly that's the only way we can get value out of Bentley these days, but in that case the question is who in the Premier League would accept Bentley whilst also having a player we covet? Perhaps a move for Clint Dempsey, or maybe Jack Rodwell? That's the problem we have. Come to think of it, why hasn't it occurred to Levy that offering £9m + Corluka might be what brings Vertonghen to WHL?

Cudicini and Gomes might resolve themselves by the end of June, as they may both be out of contract by then (at least according to Transfermarkt), but in that case we were stupid not to sell Gomes last summer for a few million as that money could've been put towards bringing in Krul/Lloris/whoever.

Always remember that one of Levy's first orders of business was writing off £11m by releasing Rebrov, and the same can be said for the £15m wasted on Bentley. On one hand you can agree with him trying to balance the books, especially now with transfers being monitored for FFP (at least I hope they are - the Chavlings seem to think they can splash the cash with impunity), but he's overdoing it at the moment. I'd be happy to write off a fee for some of the real dregs (Alnwick, Obika), but if QPR offer £4m for Jenas we should accept it.

I think the best way to ship them off is to involve them in part exchange deals, like you touch on.

CSKA are rumoured to be interested in Kranjcar. We're rumoured to be interested in CSKA's Doumbia. It just seems to obvious..
