I can confirm it is scorching in Aid at the moment. On my flight from Albury to Sydney this afternoon flew over parched landscape and several Bush fires. I' m currently waiting to board a flight home (Emirates of course!)

I can tell you all that's it's freaking hot out here. Many places are in the mid 40s on a daily basis. A couple of days back, they predicted 49 for the Isa next Monday. On the Sunshine Coast, we have no real fire problems at the moment, but the state had a 100 bush fires during the week. The Southern states are the worst affected at the moment though. We've had very dry Winter, which has left bush a real fire trap.
As for going missing over the last week, I've become addicted to a game called Battle Pirates. Sorry I let the team down. I promise to carry my share of the load in the future.
I'm also looking forward to the challenge of the Comp. After 5 unplaced selections in the one race, it can't possibly get any worse.
