indeed that is my point. The same National scenario is currently being acted out and supposedly resisted by our 'fourth estate of the realm'.
I just listened to the interview and I didn't think it was that bad, certainly not as bad as some comments have suggested. He answered the questions asked, in his usual style and I at least like the fact that he's really pissed off when we lose.
Yeah me too. He wasn't a whole lot more off than usual and I think he answered most questions reasonably. Maybe just got slightly short with Burnsey towards the end.
we are getting away from my original point. A good journalist, whe faced by a stonewall response will find another door to open to get real unscripted answers. Our locals are so scared of losing access to mundane non stories which merely sell newspapers and have no news value that they cannot get real answers. The locals let Mr Pearson and his like get away with it so often, its a crime. They are practically no more than advertising reps guaranteeing column inches and air space to sell their medium to their chosen market place. All the Presidents Men is a great illustrative book on how it should be done if anyone cares to read it. The film's good as well.
What more should have been asked? How much further would you have pushed it? I'm not always convinced that an interview, mere minutes after the final whistle, still very much in the heat of the moment, is always the best time to get insightful nuggets of information. It's in the days following, after proper reflection, that both proper questions can be directed and more thoughtful answers delivered. All losing managers are roughly the same minutes after a game, with a mic shoved towards their mouths. I think Burnsey asked decent enough questions to a man who was very down and disappointed, still raw from the end of the match.

EVERYTHING you say is completely meaningless. Even when you say something valid people ignore it because of you moronic behaviour.
Indeed I want him to be p1ssed off, but not at Burnsie/the fans for for asking completely reasonable questions. If he shouted at the radio that we were awful, that he's getting them all in for extra training, that he made a wrong decision taking Brady off etc etc etc fine. But being dismissive, condescending, sarcastic, evasive etc etc when we have just lost in a really disappointing way, is not acceptable. I stated last season that NP was the exact opposite of Brownie and that I liked him for his honesty and his discretion. However, I also said his media presence was awful and whilst that was merely irritating it wouldn't matter so long as he produced the goods. I also said that his problem was that if he started to fail, the fans would be on his back double-time because his style would stop being irritating and start being a reason for the fans wanting rid of him. That is where we are now.

While I have had no reason to slam our Nigel, I listened intently to both the interviews with him and that with Liam Rosenior, for my part they were fairly reasonable questions that Dave Burns put to big Nige, which were met with a man who was very defensive and came across as quite simply arrogant. His reply to how we solve the home form issues being along the lines of adopting a different style then eluding to `direct football` , equating to lump it stuff, was quite baffling to be honest. Now having listened to Roseniors interview just after, the lad spoke well, and with passion about the team and the club. The young players obviously have a great deal of regard for big Nige and I commend them all for this. The two interviews were like chalk and cheese, one with passion and a desire to put it right, the other almost questioning why he should be under the magnifying glass because of the shocking start to the season, in particular at home. 5 games played, two goals scored, one being an own goal gifted to us, is not the recipe for a successful season. I am rapidly finding myself questioning decisions he is making with regards team selections, formations and substitutions. Leicester fans while singing big Nige`s praises always stated that his tactics were less then inspiring, dour and on the negative side, I am just wondering if his only plan B, is to resort to hoof ball. I honestly believe the next half dozen games will give us the answers, but the man definitely needs to work on his pr, and also accept responsibility for getting it wrong, his reply to why Brady was substituted stank of how dare you question me ! I sincerely hope that he and his team can put it right, although at this stage I am less then convinced after listening to his interview that he can, I just hope I`m wrong.
In this country we call them "Reserve Teams" or "The Stiffs", and none of us have any idea as to how yours are doing. Troll harder. Effort: E Grade: F
NP is thin skinned - bit like me and prickly PT. But he hates losing and having to do interviews after a defeat. There's nowt wrong with that. Being good with the media doesn't make you a good football manager. Paul Duffen was the best talker up of the Club I've ever heard and look where that got us. He does however clearly need to find a way to win regularly at home and hasn't yet been able to do that since he came to the Club albeit for differing reasons over that time.
heard our reserves looked crap yesterday. They all wear rags on their head and wipe their arse with their left hand, so of course they're idiots.
Saw Schmeichels sending off yesterday, nearly wet myself with laughter. What a bunch of clowns Leicesteristan are. The jokers of the Championship. BTW Konchesky looks a real steal (for Liverpool)!!
I allways like Nigel Pearsons interviews, even before a question is asked you know he wont answer...i think he keeps everything in the dressing room and refuses to say much about the players in public...also why would he say how much we may or may not have to spend on players ...if i try to buy a second hand scooter i dont tell the seller how much i have to spend before i put a bid in...i allways hated how brown slagged off the players and allways had someone to blame when we lost....i like Nigels attitude of " whats it got to do with you" to questions he is asked...
sorry don`t agree, Nige has been given funding to mould a team, 1.3m on Aaron Maclean ? for instance, and I believe seven close season signings (including Adebola !). It seems his tactical nouse is far suited to the demands of an away game were his tactics are keep it tight and nick it. Home games are different, you have to try to dominate, and control games, and break teams down. Does he have the personnel ? I would like to think that Brady, Koren, Cairney to a certain extent are all capable, so why is it he isn`t getting the team to perform ? The stock reply of he can only do so much doesn`t wash with me I`m afraid, and it certainly doesn`t excuse his poor attitude in after match interviews like the one on Saturday. I agree, many things should be kept in house, but when asked why Brady was replaced as it appeared he was the only one on the pitch that remotely looked capable, his reply was less than impressive. I applaud the signings of young talented lads, but now he has to get them playing together, he has in my opinion one of the mostest potent attackers in the Division in Fryatt, but we all know Fryatt plays better off someone, his answer, bring in an old man at the end of his career who can`t run, can`t pass and is distinctly second rate.
