the thing is mate were not arsenal or utd and weve been given more then one hiding and i reakon weve had about 4 shots on goal in the last 2 games.... im not against mon or anything but **** me people have to see that he isnt worth all this hero worship bollocks..
That's only cos they got lucky against us, agree with smithy too many on here think MON can do no wrong he can and does. He got just about everything wrong today and against WBA and against Blackburn but, that's the way it goes sometimes lets all move on and, look forward to the next good hiding sorry game. KTF FTM
Yip, on the money AGAIN my friend. I NEVER hero worship the Boss, just give support. I gave up a long time ago trying to figure out why players can perform majestically one week then the next like a buffoon. The life of a football manager is not for me, I want to enjoy my days too much
MON is managing someone elses team. His history shows that he is a competitor and winner, and he will get us there sonner rather than later. summer should be interesting.
I was disapointed today but one thing I am fairly sure of is that the players we have now in the most part are good enough to take us to the next level if we add 2 or 3 really good signings in the summer. I have seen post where people are saying we need 8 - 10 players and this player or that player is not good enough. To be quite honest I think we all agree that the players who are not good enough are players like Wickham and Ji who are both young, in Wickhams case very young. They have time to blossom. We need to keep Sess and sign a bit of quality and we can be looking up next season rather than looking down. Everyone makes mistakes and MON made one today, I am not going to look at it with rose tinted glasses and say he can do no wrong, but at the same time I am not going to suggest we sack half the first team and buy 10 new players in July/August. If we had Gyan, Bent and Welbeck with our current midfield and defense who knows where we would be now...... We need that sort of quality front line to come in this summer. I would like to see Johnson, Holt and Gyan back.
Good runner and always a risk with his shooting. But he can't pass, runs far too long without looking up (SO MANY TIMES IN A GAME!). Think he'll be off to WBA in the summer anyway. Won't be sad to see the back of him to be honest
I agree. Nice feet, can hit a shot (often misses when he'd be better off passing).. All show, little go.
Me too Syd, a quality striker or two, creative centre midfield and full backs are needed although Ricco has been very good this season imho
I think the sooner we all accept that finishing above the knuckdraggers on the dark side of the Tyne is not the be all & end all this season, when MON came in I would be happy not to be relegated, everything else is a bonus, from where we were, to where we are isn't really all that bad is it?
