"I'm going to make a prediction - it could go either way." Ron Atkinson Now there's a pundit. Bring Big Ron back!
Remember after he got sacked for making a racist comment on ITV, they sent him to America and made a three part Documentary following him so he could learn why the "N" word was so unacceptable to black people? Well, after 3 episodes and countless black people all over the United States explaining to him how racist that word was, he was asked at the end did he now realize why it was wrong for him to use that word? He replied "To be honest, no I don't"!
Hes quick over the 1st yard. Plus anything used by the offish, magical magyar, mercurial morrocan etc.
In interviews when players (most notably Stevie g) say...'and yeah...you know it's like that you know. We played well today but it didn't got our way but you know that's football you know.' I don't know, you supposedly do, hence why you are being interviewed and I am not.
"Should have got that on target" or "Should have hit the target" Like sometimes they shoot wide on purpose, they all should be on target
Neither side has that extra bit of "quality" around the box. "At this level" you really have to take your chances. You cant make mistakes like that "at this level" cos you are going to get punished. Am i the only one who hates the word "aplomb" ?
Here's a cliche you won't tire of......... '' Loftus Road is rocking tonight !!! The TV gantry I'm sitting on is shaking, it feels like there is 80,000 rather than 18,000 inside this compact stadium. ''
The kids team I played with along time ago, our coach had many wonderful expressions such as "get in your pairs of 3" and my favourite "if hes a yard infront you're 2 yards behind."
Reminds me of my school swimming teacher. He'd say the same - "get yourselves into pairs of 2" and "right, half of you at the deep end, half of you at the shallow end and the rest with me"
