Off Topic Football things that aren’t worth a new thread

Found this interesting, average attendances from late 50's, maybe 1956/7 season, or 1957/8....forgot which it was now.
Seems odd to see Liverpool in division 2.

Hartlepools... never heard it referred to as that before

 

More used to British West Hartlepool

 

Second game I got to was against Liverpool in the old Second Division, that was in 1958.

 

League position would mean it was the year they were relegated 57-58?

 

That had crossed my mind, but there may have been only 2 got relegated at the time.

See @Best uncapped Keeper's post above, we played Liverpool in second division in 1958. So we possibly stayed up (56/7) and Liverpool promoted. Then both relegated in 57/58.
