Jason Cundy (just to make sure)

Arjen Robben's face. It doesn't fit. How can he play like he does and look 70?

GKs who didn't grow up playing kickball.
You don't realize how silly it looks to Americans when a grown man can't make the sort of catches we made when we were eight. (In kickball, there's no reward for anything other than catching a ball cleanly. Knocking the ball away was what somebody's little sister would do, very annoyingly if she was on your team.)

My theory is all that diving has led to frequent beatdowns. It's either that or divine retribution. In any case, he certainly did fall out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

    Tactical WC semi finals.

Unlike last night when the better team tore apart the opposition's pants defence.

He'd have to go in on that performance, although I thought Argentina were the main culprits in killing the game.

Argentina certainly could've comitted more forward and tried to press more but Holland seemed to just want to pass it around the back until Robben found some space. All in all it was a crap semi final and they were all to blame, players and coaches.

It's said the main reason ITV got the rights to the FA Cup was because The FA got so pissed off with Ian Wright using his punditry spot on the BBC to rant about Sven not selecting his adopted son for England that they wanted to show them a lesson.

Anyone who has been rescued form the managerial doldrums called Pochettino and who has repaid that rescue act by recently and faithlessly moving up north.

Seems like he was protecting his career, you'd already got rid of the man that shared his vision for the club and so he left for a better job before the fire sale. Besides he owed Cortese and not Southampton, he was the one that had faith in him and backed him to succeed up until he was forced out by the Liebherr.

The fire sale, as you call it, only came about because Faithless left. No one was going anywhere, why would they? And Faithless only left because he was poached by Joe Lewis' godson, who pressed his nose against the sweet shop window and saw nicer things than he was seeing each week at Spurs. Faithless was offered untold riches by the godson and will now deliver untold glory.

Especially if Soldado keeps diving like he did against Seattle.

    Cheers, have a crap season.

  17. Christ! You sound incredibly embittered.

It's not our fault Poch has decided to move up the managerial ladder. Neither is it our fault that your board has chosen to sell half its team to LFC. We detest that club as much as, I'm sure, you do.

I never want Saints to have a crap season; it's a club that I very much admire, especially for its Academy.

If Poch has shat on Saints for the reasons that we both probably suspect, then I'm sure he'll **** on us if he does bring us glory and gets offered the £ity or Chav job.

C'est la vie! as the French would say.

You were highly likely to be asset-stripped this summer even if Pochettino remained.
So "Faithless" perhaps in not expecting to repeat/better last season again with those assets gone.
Again, you have our sympathies (only the "apex predator" clubs are truly immune) .

Yes you're probs right. I don't have any qualms with Spurs per se, just Faithless, and I wish him all the ill luck football can throw at him, unfortunately by extension that means Spurs in general.

So Poch out plus the godson, and I can start quite liking Tottenham again. :)

Not embittered HIAG just when you've won one thing in 125 plus years and you see the best team Saints ever assembled dismantled by Levy to start with and then United and mostly Liverpool you start to think what's the point?
In fact, I now hate everything about football except the football.

    Cheers
    'Embittered Saint
Ps and don't get me started on Hoddle!!!

  20. I was at the game (St Marys) that we lost that got Hoddle the sack.

We were utterly dire under Hoddle, which has been one of my greatest disappointments as a Spurs fan. I so much wanted Hoddle to succeed.

Alas! It was not to be.

But we shared with the Saints fans the irony of his being sacked after that Saints game.
