Well done Reading fans (I assume their pitch invasion was non-violent) I was opposed to the idea of Charlton fans getting any matches abandoned while Duchatelet was wrecking our Club. Looking back, I was wrong to be that timid. We did not go far enough to underline the anger at what the old Scrote and his grinning lieutenant was doing. And look where we are now.
I heard about offensive banners hung from motorway bridges by some Coventry City "fans" mocking the deaths in a helicopter crash of Leicester City's previous owner and several other innocent people. Somebody must know who did that. They deserve lifetime bans. Mocking disasters (Munich, Hillsborough and even the Holocaust to name just a few others) is the lowest form of pond-life behaviour. People who do it are not big or clever. They are knuckle dragging morons. There are so many great ways fans can take the rise out of opponents without having to resort to such sickness.
More proof (if any were needed) that the Premier League's FFP rules are a bunch of horsesh*t. Everton and Nottingham Forest charged. Like they really are the Clubs wrecking the integrity of the Prem aren't they. Nottingham Forest, for f**k's sake. While Chelsea and Manchester City just get away with financial murder season after season. And the other "Big 6" Clubs probably do likewise. What a fiasco.
Clubs chasing the Premier League dream have two choices; 1) The Nottingham Forest way - spend way beyond your means both before and after you get promoted - then get relegated by a points deduction. 2) Don't spend beyond your means, and if by some miracle you do win promotion you'll just be ripped apart every weekend by Clubs who have spent £50m or £80m or £100m on a single player. Then get relegated with 20 points to your name after being in the bottom three all season. The first option will at least give the fans a few memories worth treasuring. The Premier League is rigged in favour of the rich Clubs, who don't have to obey any rules. CORRUPT!
I blame the so-called Champions League and the obsession with elite football, which caters for the huge army of armchair fans. It's created that glass ceiling.
We have yet to see the Premier League lift one finger to sanction any of the "Elite" Clubs. Man City and Chelsea being the obvious ones. Over 100 charges against City? Pull the other one. That was announced over a year ago. And what's happened? Nothing. What a shocker.
So it looks like the relegated teams from the Premier League won't be known at the final whistle of the last day of the season. They will be decided in Court. Several weeks later. I'd like to see the Prem sell that to Pay TV subscribers. The Premier League is every bit as useless as the EFL when it comes to Football stewardship. They just have more money.
I thought the breakfast news presenters were making a bit too much of West Ham getting knocked out of the Cup by Bristol City. City are a decent Championship side, not a Sunday league pub team. And the reports I heard said not a word about them. It was all West Ham, including an interview with Miserable Moyes. Got a couple of injuries apparently (diddums) and some lads away in Africa. What, didn't they tell you they were going Davy?
You have to remember that football managers believe their team is the only one in the league that gets injuries.
