Poor old Roman. To hear some Chelski fans on the radio talk shows you'd think he was the victim in all this. Being targeted unfairly by people who've got it in for him and Chelsea.
I can understand Chelsea fans singing their ex-owner's name yesterday. The man bankrolled them to the tune of a £75 million per year loss (on average). But the UK Government - in other words the tax payer - should certainly not now be keeping spoilt CFC in the manner to which it has sadly become accustomed. They should get the minimum that they need to fulfill fixtures. Not a penny more. Let them use up whatever reserves they have if they wish to. I would expect no different treatment for any other English football Club. They are getting off a lot more lightly than the fans of Bury, whose owner was just a scumbag - not the pal of a mass-murdering dictator.
I really hope this puts them on their arse - watch their fans disappear as quick as abramovich’s money does from the UK!
The things they say Petr Cech - "Chelsea's success was not about money..." Also, I must say I'm getting a bit annoyed with the attitude Sky Sports is taking to Chelski. They are fawning all over their teams, as if Chelsea have been victims of some awful injustice. And not saying anything about their fans chanting Roman's name all the time. Chelsea it seems are the new pet of Sky, taken in like an abandoned puppy. We're all supposed to feel sorry for them.
Anybody think we should have got Defoe in the transfer window? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60860430 Another disaster for our inept recruitment team obviously
The FA Cup semi between UAE and Liverpool will not be moved from Wembley, surprise surprise. And the FA in its generosity is providing 100 coaches free to fans. WOW!!. at 50 per coach that's 5,000 places. That should sort that then. Typical meaningless empty gesture politics.
Once again the FA shows its contempt for football fans. Next they'll be wanting all 6th round games played at Wembley too. FA Vase first preliminary qualifying round, July 5th ... The Rat & Spanner (Canvey Island) 3rd XI vs Bootle Municipal sewage works U15's At Wembley Stadium
Some weird stuff going on at Staines Town. Have you been there @Elfs ? http://stainestownfootballclub.co.uk/urgent-club-statement/
OK, so they're into slavery, child trafficking, money laundering and sanction breaking, but at least they don't play the guitar and they aren't skint...........................Sandgaard out!
Another evil corporation out to wreck a community football club just to make money on the land. This lot sound worse than most. I feel for STFC because they are probably done for. Unable to play fixtures, will the EFL be typically moronic and expel them? Or will the jobsworths have some understanding? Sadly, these are the kind of people who can get their hands on football Clubs or their assets. Duchatelet's ethical hypocrisy has made this kind of danger a real one for Charlton Athletic's future. But I suppose the "Sandgaard Out" brigade will continue to squeak and jibber.
Well there's a shocker. UEFA are planning two "Wild Card" invitations into future Champion's League competitions. For teams who fail to qualify on merit (league position) but who have a past history of doing well in the CL. A guarantee in effect to the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal that they will be in the Champion's League regardless of how crap they have become. Now we know how UEFA managed to buy off support for the European Super League among the biggest, richest Clubs in Europe. A back door to the Champion's League, not based on current footballing achievement. What a stitch-up. The Champion's League itself ends up becoming a Super League, with places effectively guaranteed for Elite Clubs. A disgrace, that the likes of Man Utd or Arsenal will still benefit from all the CL coverage and prestige, long after they have ceased to earn it fairly on the pitch.
