Had a drink with my Sunderland mate yesterday, he's quite happy about it. Keane got them promoted last time.
Steve Bruce, having trousered £3m from Newcastle as a reward for failure, is about to walk straight into the West Brom job.
Watching Forest giving Leicester a mullering in the FA Cup (on the telly)... One thing I'll say for the fake crowd noises during lockdown matches - there wasn't any swearing What a f**king great atmosphere today
Can't see Wembley getting the so-called "Champions League" final after the scenes there at the Euros when the fans forced their way in. There is also a developing problem of objects thrown on to the pitch at club grounds, so in the interests of safety it will go elsewhere. Aahh- just seen it's gone to Paris.
If one or two English teams were to get to the Final it would amount to another Hooligan Holiday at Wembley. And besides it's play-off Final weekend - which we won't be at. Best it goes elsewhere. Paris will be nice in the Springtime...
More evidence that VAR doesn't work. An absolutely blatant handball by Man City in their own area - VAR says no penalty. I thought it was exactly this kind of glaring error that VAR was supposed to eliminate. And now many will say VAR bottles big decisions against the 'elite' Prem giants. Again, exactly the kind of 'human weakness' flaw that VAR is supposed to stop.
Abramovich in a kind of fuddled attempt to side-step a backlash against Chelski. Probably has more to do with trying to protect the Club from a freeze on his assets than anything else. "Chelsea Football Club? sorry comrade, it doesn't belong to me..." That wouldn't wash even if this was an episode of Can't pay? We'll take it away rather than real life.
