The likes of the Glazers, Saudis, Abramovic, Prince Mansoor, are going to be influenced by the fans? <laugh><laugh><laugh>

"Everything good in English football lies in the Premier League"?

    What utter, self-serving blinkered garbage.
Christian Purslow is obviously a total prat.

The problem doesn't lie in the Premier League. The problem IS the Premier League.

This prat was interviewed on Radio 4's today program, without any reference to his vested interest which makes him takes this blinkered approach. Nor was there any tough questioning. Disappointing.

This Infantino chap is only a marginal upgrade on Sepp Blatter, accusing those who don't want a W/C every 2 years (nearly everyone in football) of being scared of it. Cvnt.

Prat is an undervalued pejorative, in my opinion.

Unintended consequences ... like some accountability?
    Perish the thought.

Watford v Chelsea tonight - match currently suspended for a medical incident in the crowd.

Think this is the third one recently. Is this the new normal ? Suspend a match every time something happens in the crowd ?

I can see this becoming a problem if so.

And now Southampton v Leicester suspended for the same reason <doh>

What did we used to do for the last 100 odd years at football matches and what’s changed now ?

Nobody's getting any hospital treatment anymore so we're just dropping wherever we happen to be.
Can't even see a GP now except on a screen or down the 'phone.. Fat lot of good that is.

And I expect football crowds are continuing to get older (on average).
All health in this country is taking a steep dive.

Ipswich have just sacked Paul Cook, which should make our next match a bit more interesting.

No one lined up to replace him apparently and the chairman will speak more on Monday, so doesn’t leave a lot of time for a new manager/caretaker manager to do a lot on the training ground.

The report into the crowd trouble at Wembley during the Euro final is scary. 6,000 fans outside waiting to gatecrash if England won, several instances where there nearly fatalities, and the potential for another Hillsborough. The day was saved when the heavens opened and the crowd outside dispersed. The ones who invaded targeted the disabled entrances, easier I suppose. It all seems highly organised. Another thing to emerge was that the FA increased the restricted crowd capacity to 65,000 on government orders, to prevent the game being moved to Budapest. The whole episode seems to have been under-reported at the time.

Politics before safety. Money before lives.
Boris was content to gamble with the possibility of another Hillsborough, just for the glory of a Wembley Final to a major tournament.
Just like he let the third wave into the UK because a trade deal with India mattered more to him.

Now Premier League Clubs Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester City are suffering Corona outbreaks.
At Spurs the outbreak is out of control.
If Omicron can overwhelm the expensive defences at Prem Clubs, what chance do EFL and non-league Clubs have?

Yet still the circus will go on.

    Brendan Rodgers <applause>

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59587170

Says he doesn't even know what the Europa Conference League is.
Nobody knows what it is mate.
    It's a figment of UEFA's wandering imagination.

Think of it a bit like the Vauxhall Conference :emoticon-0162-coffe
If you've dropped into it then you've failed <ok>
