In light of the Gary Hooper rumours, I could have signed him but cancelled the transfer at the last minute because I couldnt find a place for him in my squad.

Started a new pentagon challenge with all the leagues loaded from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Chile. I'm thinking this could do more for my reputation than the South African leagues, which had proved rather fruitless after two seasons.

ok so i started a career with huddersfield. FIrst season finished in third lost to preston in the play offs. 2-1 on aggregate.

Right second season is just about to start. Loan for chambo accepted. Along with brentfords. He chose them over me? Is he mad?

I'm tempted to start one with Plymouth and take them from bottom to top!

Saints fan4life started with Plymouth before. Took them into the championship but went back down to league one after one season in there.

I have not played it for five days, gonna play it today, If I remember correct I am still on a 7 game run without a win with Gills in the Championship, about 16th but 5 points off the bottom 3.

Been really busy putting together my new bed today, and busy on an exam through the week plus thought I would have a bit of time off it.

Stick it on the lowest expectation and sign free transfers. Will probably need help from other posters on who are the best free players to get within the strict wages they have.

The only experience I've had in League 2 is when I won it with Crewe. From the squad that I had, I recommend the following players if you can get your hands on them:

    Oscar Jansson (GK)
    Harry Davis (DC)
    James Tarkowski (DC)
    Ashley Westwood (DR, CM)
    Lee Bell (CM)
Bobby Reid (CM) - Not sure where he starts, but he got tons of assists and 10+ goals.
Nick Powell (CM) - One of the best players in the league at just 17
    Saul Halpin (LW)
    James Baxendale (RW)
Ryan Colclough (RW, ST) - Deceptively good and unpredictable when played on the wing. Cuts inside and shoots long.
Shaun Miller (ST) - 30 goals as poacher. Perfect striker.

Also Pablo Counago is available on free transfer.

I had a budget of £0 when I started with Gillingham, I had to sign many free players stick with many originals, sell a few to get a bit of cash and take some off the wage budget as that was at the max, it is hard but look where I am and you had to get play offs with £0 budget, no other choice other than that and promotion automatic, but there was no budget available either way,
It is hard in League 2 and League 1 with many teams with these budgets,.

Signed Aaron Martin on loan and Reading defender Jack Mills on loan.

Counago on a free but costs a bit in wages!

Got a player on trial but can afford wages! Aargh! And he's amazing!

What does Counago want in wages? I managed to get him for Droylsden in Blue Square North. Though I did have to put half of my players on pay-as-you-play deals to make room in the budget.

I had Counago on my other save with Dartford, brought him in, he done **** all, I had made loads of room to get him in, had to let him go, but he went to the football league and done well, weird as I had at Gills on a save I started on the day I got the game and did not go well and he did not perform for me on that one,
He is not my type of player.
That save I had with the gills on the day I got the game was bad, I only played that one day and then I decided to do one with Dartford, do well with them and then just restart with Gills, It was worked as I have got better at the game, got more awareness of good players and done well.

Did you play him as trequartista? He did extremely well for me in that role and carried the team. He continued to carry them after I left as well.

No, Target man, I know that might have been the problem as when I had him was when I had only just got the game and in the past years I had not played the game as much as this years title, I was no where as experienced as I am now, I have much more tactical awareness so I think it may be fully my fault as I had a few players who had not worked out for me. But don't matter now.

Maybe a part time contract ? Not sure if you can in the football league though.

Yeah, part-time contract, £0 per week and then negotiate the appearance fee.

I suppose there's no reason why you couldn't offer a player £0 per week on a full time contract, as long as you give him a high enough appearance fee. I haven't tried it before.

Yeah you can do pay as you play in non league, non pro contract, but not once you get in the league, mainly blue square south and north though for this.
