Sweet, pretty much the same as other sports then, simple enough. What's it called? Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup etc... Soccer Bowl?

I went for Portland Timbers in the end. I like Portland, I have no clashes with any other sport, and they play in green which is pretty cool. Also considered Seattle, might swap if I don't like the Timbers squad.

So many strange things I don't understand going on already What are good transfer values? Like, if I wanna sign some guy worth $300k, what do I offer in terms of picks?

Hmm, I may have to try this tomorrow. I'm currently on a pretty incredible streak with Woking, but all this MLS talk is making me curious.

 

I honestly can't remember off the top of my head. What you could do is make your offer, go to the transfers screen on the player's profile and see what the offer is. Then adjust accordingly. As common sense has it, earlier picks in the Superdraft are worth more.

 

I can tell already that it would be a good idea to build my tactics around trying to get Kris Boyd to score.

 

How much allocation money do you get? I may be able to suggest a good striker, you can never have too many good strikers.

See if you can get Herculez Gomez. He might be transfer listed for $130k, plays for some club in Mexico. Great poacher, although he may be prone to injury....

It can be quite frustrating finding players, especially from foreign leagues because obviously the MLS isn't high rep (2.5*).

I must say it is quite interesting reading about how the youth system works, with Generation Adidas and the like. They seem to do a lot for players trying to get into the professional game.
