It's just before he becomes the Richard Branson of property development. He'll be fine - his uncle's in the business so he knows all the secrets of the trade.
Thought I'd do a Saints game where I try and replicate what Adkins has done so far, so I've signed Jay Rod, Davis and Buttner. Davis cost me about £8m annoyingly. I've also added Tomas Rosicky, Zakaria Labyad, Steffen Hagen and Alex Manninger. Should hopefully get a little higher than I did when I signed no one.
So, I finally won the Premiership in 2019. Had a think about what to do for a new game. So inspired by the awesome Crewe home-grown squad thing, and various other stories around the net, I think I am gonna do the San Marino challenge. The idea is, manage San Marino who are in the 4th tier of the Italian league and San Marino the country, get some promotions with the club and start churning out some youth products, get the country up the rankings and to some (undefined) success. Sounds easy...
Ah yes, I've read about that. Good luck, you'll need it! Just got Northern Ireland to the 2014 World Cup, although I did edit the DB to give me back all the defectors like Gibson, Wilson and Duffy
Wow, the last thing I was expecting was for Lambert to score 5 goals in his first 2 PL games. Jay Rod might have to wait his turn.
Nearly finished my seocnd season of following in the footsteps of crewes Youth.., Not sacked yet nor relegated.. The youngsters are fighting a place for the play offs!
Well I like to think it's just that I'm amazing, but it was a hattrick against Birmingham (home) and two at Derby (away). Not really sure how either got promoted in the first place.
Created a new team on the editor in the blue square south. I gave myself fine youth and training facilities, but otherwise starting from scratch. I've filled my squad with free agents, mostly young, and I'm in the playoffs after my first fdeew months. Couple of very good younguns: Michael McCaffrey (young winger, racks up goals and assists), Danny Murphy (not the Danny Murphy obviously. Young, Welsh, anklebiting attacking midfielder with ability with the ball and a rocket shot on him. Surprisingly good in the AM role that I'm partial to for a non-league player), Lozano-Calderon (a left footed version of McCaffrey with a good delivery. Picked him up from the England trials). Although I've started strongly and signed some good players, I'm still always tipped to lose.
The favourites/underdogs thing is all down to reputation. It doesn't take any other factors into account afaik.
Christian Wilhemsson has been a wonderful signing for me. Paid £1.8m for him and his average rating is around 7.20.
