I have managed to get a lot of young players for Dartford, who have either been released or transfer listed by big clubs, got two from Barcelona, one from Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City and a few from others, Also got a few from Genk.
May be common, but it's the first time I've seen it: I have a pair of regen brothers. One is my 19 year old Argentine left back, Enrique Poggi, and the second is a new trialist, Leonardo Poggi...both from the same town and they list one another as favoured personnel. They even have nearly-identical pictures. Nice touch, that, too bad the latter is pitiful.
I'm shocked you only got one injury, Utd's booking count seems to show they were trying to murder your team. I've heard of it before but never seen it happen in my game Apparently you can have sons as well.
I consider this a curse; shortly after you mentioned this, I played Man U in a CL quarter-final, and they injured three of my four most-important attacking players...won the game 2-0, but they did significant damage. I played FM online with a couple of Geordies for several seasons...I know how you people do business, and it generally ends with me getting my ass kicked.

Slightly unrelated, but I once found myself managing Aston Villa. One of their club icons is of course Kenny Swain, who shares my surname. One game, the headline came up "Swain warns of such and such a player"...needless to say it made me trip the **** out.
Haha, similar thing with one of my mates being called Connor (first name), he was Wolves manager, so every time his assistant Terry Connor did something, it would always say "Connor begrudges red card" or something His technicals are pretty crap but he's good apart from that, good physicals!! Good to see he has England caps!

When I did that with Darlington, no seem to improve as players, got to league 1 with a young team. but I gave up cause I couldn't attract bigger names and the young players were rubbish.
Yeah once I found he had a £50m release clause, I used my entire budget to sign him for Villarreal. Single handedly won me La Liga
He only scored one hat-trick for me, but scored pretty much every game and made a ton of assists. Also, look at that marking
His marking, heading and positioning would probably make him a good CB even without tackling! You can tell the game has given up on realistic regens when it throws something like that out
