The total required for the automatics looks as if it will be above 90 points in the Championship. Hope Burnley win today!! Whoever dips out, lets hope they get their just rewards in the play-offs.

Notable results: Portsmouth 1-2 Plymouth Argyle and although it's not quite the FL, Eastleigh 2-0 Altrincham. Eastleigh are one place outside of the playoffs with a game in hand.

Indeed. Congratulations. Why are you still here and not dancing in the streets of Northampton? The North to our South? ;)

Certainly that. 3/4 weeks of heavy trips. Portugal and France following a week off that wasn't healthy. I at least didn't have Entrecote Epoisse or Oeuf Meurette this week in France, despite two colleagues with me having both :( Watching them eat that was painful.

Jeez, all the things you shouldn't be eating a lot of. Certainly someone with your condition. Are you telling me that you eat a lot of red meat, eggs, rich sauces, drink red wine with it?

You realise with a diet like that you'll be VFLT as you get older and inevitably slow down. It's not good. I know what it's like. I was fit as a fiddle up until I was in my late 40s, playing football, then swimming and sailing, and then I started to slow down quite drastically. You just do unless you make a concious effort not to. It creeps up on you. It's why I joined the Ramblers. It also gets me in the pub. ;)

It is possible to have gout without doing any of those things, but if you do have gout, it's definitely not a good idea. Anything with high levels of purines in is likely to lead to hyperuricaemia, which leads to uric acid crystals being deposited in the joints, hence the swelling and pain. Allopurinol or Febuxostat will help.

Yep, I knew someone about 20 years back who had gout and she ate healthily. She used to suffer from a lot of things though, poor woman.

Pompey need six points from 5 games to make the play-offs. At the moment they are strugging to score goals. Either their strikers are naff and/or the tactics employed are completely wrong or their players are just not good enough. If promotion is achieved they will need a considerable rebuild of the squad which is costly and contrasts with Saints where the squad was largely assembled to do the double promotion in League 1.

I agree with you but don't want to upset any Pompey fans viewing this board.

PS: What is your address for the Daniel Levy posters?

    85 mins - Portsmouth 1-0 Plymouth
    87 mins - Portsmouth 1-2 Plymouth

Pompey lose 2-1 at the death.

Victory would've meant that winning their game in hand would've put them in the automatic promotion places with just four games to go.

    Shame. :)
