Perhaps we should sneak under the radar and buy that young Uruguayan lad who got Boro's second goal. Reckon we could get him for £2m. Then we sell on the outstanding debt to Goldman Sachs and they sell it to, say, Man City (who wouldn't notice it). We could start sub-prime transfers.

Pleased Gaston scored. Let's hope he gets them into the Prem and they buy him and we can see him back at SMS next season. PS, nice lad that Gaston, but Boro you can keep him.

He's a free agent in the summer, so I'll expect he'll do well with Boro, reject their offer & go a do sod all at some other European club for four years on a better wage.

Fair play to them, that's a cracking price <applause>

Always look out for Hudders these days after the old 606 rivalry :)

Wow, that's impressive. That's pre-2000 prices at the latest. Well done to Huddersfield Town for making the step forward, Hopefully, they'll be rewarded with excellent support for their gesture. Sleeping Giants, of course. Fast asleep. ;)

    Other clubs follow suit.

Good stuff, Because my mate is a big Bradford supporter and Udders are their rivals. I must point out that Bradford sold season tickets at £149 this season and have shown it can work.
It's purely speculation, but I think Huddersfield had to respond in some way, even if they are playing a league above.

Clubs are finally waking up to the benefits of selling out stadia for bit less on game receipts.

Was about to post about that. Does seem odd that song makes it onto the playlist for that game...

...Blackpool fans seem to be suggesting it isn't regularly played. Would be a really random choice and badly thought out, at the very least.

Not half as much as their ears will at half time with Steve Evans as their manager! <laugh>

Just stumbled across the disclosure of the agent fees for League Two clubs. Good to see Pompey are now cutting their cloth accordingly...

please log in to view this image

For context: Pompey are currently one point behind Accrington Stanley, who have a game in hand and have spent £0 on agent fees.

The other three clubs they're behind are: Plymouth Argyle (£32,260), Oxford United (£40,565) and Northampton Town (£31,758).
