Looks like a classic 2nd div (championship ground) with a team who play in blue and white

I'd say it could be Birmingham, St Andrews, but I think that's bigger. Only other team I can think it could be is Cardiff City

Any other team starting with an S is a United or a County or an AFC as far as I'm aware.

Been the Dell couple for times, looks about right. It was very small.

Another of the old ones I've had a proper outing at.

Absolutely pissing down all day, nil nil draw, the natives trying to climb the fence to chop us up and eat us.

    Baseball ground.

    Correct.

Went there once and as you say, a group of locals at the fence, giving it the big one, at half time they put one on their shoulders, he was pointing and shouting what he was going to do outside. The bloke standing next to me, opened his rucksack and said I've had enough of this ****, got an apple out and threw it , hit him full on in the mush, knocked him about a bit, they didn't know, so we're still jumping him up and down, until he finally collapsed, funny as

If you went here in the late 70's/80's you'd remember it.

That could be Ayresome Park, but my recollection was it was surrounded by terraced streets on all four sides.

    Not just the three.

Ayresome bigger than though I'd say.
