Hahaha. No thai rules are the boy!

Brian Breeze is also a music tech lecturer in Swansea Met. He's taught loads of my mates, I've only met him once or twice but came across as a really nice guy. I heard he also did the theme tune for "Sgorio"!

Bongo, we might know each other. I know Brian as well. I think he was from the Clase area originally, me from Penlan. He used to play in the "Chair" (The Wildfowler) from time to time on a Sunday afternoon in a duo with the then landlord Viv Morris of Spiv and the Barrowboys.

We used to watch them regularly at the old Copperman near Dyfatty on a Sunday evening. Do you remember Sarge and also Bobby Oliver with the Barrowboys? Great evenings particularly when they had "open mike". I remember one night when Wyndham Rees (ex Eyes of Blue?) came in and was pulled up on stage to do a song. He was decidedly the worst for wear and didn't want to do it having had a few but, man, did he put in a performance - brought the house down.

You are right about Breezy - one of the great guitarists and I was at the Breezes' farewell gig in the old Cardiff Arms in the Strand. What a night although they did play again a few times after that - public demand, I suppose. Brian gave me his phone number a few months back so I could check with him when and where he's playing next which is a timely reminder that I need to call him. I need a music fix and usually take a few people with me to show them just how good he is. Might see you down the BV one night though I wouldn't recognise you, lol.

Yeah, he did do stuff for S4C and he also had a little combo that played on the Owen Money TV show a few years back. And, Scott, you are right, Brian is a VERY nice guy, quiet and modest considering the scope of his talent.

We must have definitely met, Bongo. I knew Wyndham when he had his workshop in the Hafod. As you say, he specialised in Jags, particularly automatics, and I used to drive one. I took this and four other cars my company owned for Wyndham to fix and service on a regular basis.

He moved to a big unit at Fforestfach then down to Cwmbwrla and yes, I remember "Roxies" well. I had many a nice meal there and I think he also had an interest in the old Grand near the station for a while. I lost touch with him for a time when I was overseas but, on my return, I went to an evening wedding reception at a place in Neath (been to the Vetch earlier). I went in, saw my wife and started dancing to some decent sounds from the band. While I was bopping away I kept hearing someone call my name. Looked around several times then glanced at the stage to see Wyndham grinning at me like a Cheshire cat in the middle of belting out some rock song. He was playing with a band called Faded Glory which I believe included one or two members of Amen Corner. Another nice guy and would appreciate knowing the place he plays at in Morriston if you can do that for me.

Gutted to hear about Spiv; I had no idea. I'll keep an eye open for his funeral if it hasn't happened yet as I'd like to pay my respects. We often shared a drink and some "relaxation" together at the Chair after hours - no doubt Aber would approve!!
