According to the BBC Bolton have also received a transfer embargo with the Football League believed to be in discussion with Leicester and Bournemouth about exceeding the FFP limits........

I'd be flabbergasted if the PL would allow two of its members to be sanctioned by the Football League though no doubt it would hugely help Arsenal and City's cause to have Leicester held back.

Lets face it we were thought to be outside FL net when we exceeded FFP because we were in the PL, we only slipped back into the trap when we fecked up and were relegated again......Leicester and Bournemouth will only face sanctions if/when they are relegated back into the Championship, until then they should be untouchable......

Crikey, that is really worrying for is. It says they exceeded £6m but not by how much. I think ours must still be sub-judice - surely the only explanation for us not having a transfer embargo for the next 5 years!!

This embargo is about last year...when we weren't in the FL.
So we are surely exempt from this "round"

However it is interesting that the FFP problems of two years which should be haunting us now...have not been mentioned.
I heard we were negotiating with the FL 're a fine ......but heard no more about it...strange

The wrong Clubs are getting hit by FFP. It should be the mega spenders in the PL, , not Clubs struggling to get there, or struggling from the impact of relegation from it

Agree with you Os, but as we all know the authorities would prefer to make an example of a smaller club than have a go at one of the so called "Big 6" especially the likes of City who are effectively being bank rolled by a country.....

I bet Fulham fans aren't too happy with their punishment considering the fact that we haven't been punished YET.

What amazes me is we have managed to escape any sanctions thus far, or have I spoken too soon?
I wouldn't tempt fate.

Not sure why we haven't, maybe TF writing off the debt, maybe the timing of our promotions/relegations, maybe our solicitors.

Here's hoping ....

UEFA gave up on FFP and with Man City spending like there's no tomorrow you wonder how much longer the Football League are going to continue their persecution of clubs who, ultimately, are governed by European law not the whims of a bunch of power-crazed dinosaurs. If clubs go tits-up they are dealt with by the rule of law...

I fear that the axe is possibly going to fall on us in the New Year. Poor old Bolton, the last thing they need on top of everything. Bournemouth, like us, appear to have escaped punishment for the time being with their promotion.
