    What, are we not allowed to be worried now ?[/QUOTE]

    Its common sense to me to be worried at this stage. Just say we don't sign replacements for Barton and Enrique, and don't get a striker, we will be going in weaker than last year. And in that weaker squad would be 8 or 9 injury prone players. I don't see the problem with being a realist, or having a different opinion to others about the state of the club. At this stage both sides can claim to be right, we'll find out once the window closes and the season begins (sooner the better). In the time between now and then, I think its perfectly ok for people to discuss both sides of the coin. If you consider something negative and it upsets you, don't be a tit and abuse someone, just ignore it. Likewise if you see something you consider to be naive, don't be a tit and abuse someone, just ignore it.

    According to SSN with Barton we;
    Won = 11
    Drew = 10
    Lost = 11

    I think in the grand scheme of things we already have Bartons replacement, I think with the players we have in the intention always was to let his contract run out as we have plenty of midfielders.

    I think what we are or will be crying out for is a LB and striker.

    But you never know, Sammi is stepping it up at the minute :D

    Its a forum though so people are always gonna formulate opinions along the way and change them as new information becomes available. People just need to ignore things they can't comment on without abusing folk. If people want to worry about their club then they should be allowed to. Equally if people do not want to worry and want to wait for the end of the window and be positive regardless, they should be allowed to. Too much people trying to tell othersto "shut up", "stop being negative" etc. The forum is for all users and variety is the spice of life. That's what I keep telling wor lass anyway.

    Why is everyone with a negative opinion on here just shot down? OK it's a bit depressing but a negative opinion is just as valid as a positive one.

    Stupid stat, you can get statistics to say anything. Barton was important last year, but he still played in games that we we're awful too. Also we drew with Chelsea without him.

    We should also point out the reason why he missed 4 of those games....

    Not a very mature comments is that son.

    I am 56 years old, and a lifelong Irish NUFC supporter. I remember the old days of Ben Arentoft, Pop Robson etc. When a student, I've hitched from the West of Ireland to Leicester, on Boxing Day for a match (postponed due to fog) I've also stood on the terraces at Dalymount Park, with the Supporters Club, with stones and bottles raining down on us, during a Uefa Cup tie in 1976. I even moved here, with my family, to be closer to my beloved Toon!

    From the tone of this and other comments you have posted, I suspect that you weren't even born then.

    One should also learn from one's mistakes, as History has a habit of repeating itself if you don't. Unfortunately, I see no signs that our beloved owner has learned from his past mistakes, and I have seen things happening that have reminded me of things that happened in the past, with bad consequences, for the club.

    I am quite within my rights to voice such concerns on a forum such as this. You too are within your rights to disagree with me, and forcibly if you wish. However, you should do so with respect, from one member of the Toon Army to another. Comments such as "**** off with your doom and gloom ****e" are unworthy, and demonstrate a little bit of emotional immaturity, to be honest.

    Nolan didn't mouth off as much, or waited until he'd left to properly say anything.

    His to me was all about the money and wanting a long term contract. I decision I think the board were right to stand by. Man U don't offer their older players long term contracts!!

    As with Barton, If Nolan loved the club/ Fans. Area so much he could have seen his contract out and left!!!

    And don't forget the young 'uns. Throw them in against Arsenal and they'll sort out Fabregas & Co no problem.

    I'm pleased that you stick to your views. Just be a little more grown up, when dealing with those who don't agree to you.

    Telling other fellow supporters to **** off, or calling them twats, just because they have the opposite view to yours, is not big, and it's not clever.

    I think it's a case that there has been a lot of negative article on here some just digging up old ground that has already been discussed to death and people getting fed up with it. Not saying this article has done this.

    But as you say the responses need to be a little less Tashesq!!

    We all support the same thing NUFC

    you didn't agree or disagree with me or have opposite views (as all i said was **** off,a tad immature granted)but i guess it was the fact i'd had enough of barton threads people should look and see if there are threads of a similar ilk and post on them instead of making new threads and i'd suggest being a tad less sensitive you'll be called worse on here i'll guarantee that it is the internet after all <ok>
