We all remember that goal at Peterboro....however, it was out of character to other times I've seen Danny, if I remember it was his 1st start for a while, I wouldn't mind betting he wasn't fully fit for that game. Although he makes the odd bad decision, I like Seaborne.....good long distribution to the wingers and when those wingers are Adam and Oxo, we're in business :)

Cork would be a good addition and I agree Martin needs to be given more opportunities against the right opponents; I wouldn't think we'd need anybody else at the mo
 
Think we need a new Centre Back. Think Martin should be given a chance, but i'm not sure about Seabourne (who at times didn't look good enough last season) or Jaidi (who Old Father Time is fast catching up with) in the Championship.
 
I'm surprised there's been no mention of St ledger coming in from Preston. Seems to be another big rumour doing the rounds. Think we need a new centre back. Jaidi wil be awesome but there will be teams who play on the deck with pace and he looks far too susceptible!
 
Hmmm wisescummer agree with you about Jaidi, getting very fallible against pace and now has the turning circle of a tanker....However, he was an absolute rock for us last season (apart from 1 occasion), that picture of him winning a header was downright frightening - he earnt his contract extension IMO

It will be interesting to see how Danny Seaborne does, I think we all maybe pleasantly surprised....certainly a challenge for him at this level, he needs to rise to it
 
Oh I miss Jean Paul Saeijs...one of the few good decisions the dutch duo made was to bring him in. I've tried to obliterate the memoy of the 2008-2009 season from my mind but I remember being at the watford game, that last minute free kick was sheer class. Only downside was that I had a £5 on watford to win 2-1 at 7-1 odds, oh well :p
 
if i remember correctly he scored both goals that game. Was an amazing atmosphere down at vicarage road, especially when that freekick went in!
 
He could bloody hit a ball that was for sure! :)

Struggled with the pace of the Championship back then though, so now he is older, I don't think going back in for him would be sensible.
 
For me this is a priority call. Jaidi will be too slow in the championship, unfortunate but true as he was immense for us last year. Seaborne lacks the quality i would expect from a good championship defender and he is also on the slow side (remember the CMS goal for Peterbrough). Aaron Martin is a good call for the future but need bedding...a £1-2 million rated player for me.
 
Jean Paul Saeijs is early 30s isn't he? I thought he was class and could probably still put in a shift, but I get the feeling we already have all the centre backs Adkins thinks we need. Jaidi getting another year pretty much answered the question for me, with Martin as cover. Wouldn't be surprised if we see something of Jack Stephens next season also.

Same here mate he looks impressive at champ level, scored a similar amount of goals to Fonte last seaon I believe so they could bag a few between them.
Whats the deal with young Fish, Adkins had him on loan at Scunthorpe a few years ago and he played in champ again last season, surely he would be useful for us - the Mills brothers could do a good job for us in my opinion.
