Yes, the Minnesota North Stars relocated about 25 years go to become the Dallas Stars. But I'm a St. Louis Blues fan.
No relevance to the topic, but this popped up today out of the blue in my searching for real estate sales of all things ! Interesting I thought... Ringo was often maligned as a journeyman ! I suppose the sport could be classed as "Star Drummer Bashing" ?
Ha ha, no. Actually, they skate in to the sounds of the Glenn Miller Orchestra playing the St. Louis Blues March.
Good choice. Glenn Miller's music is timeless. My dad was a big Glenn Miller fan, he always associated the war with his music. When Miller's plane went missing it was just at first announced on the radio as well known entertainer feared dead as plane goes missing. A stoke on the ship he was on in the Med at the time immediately said " I hope it's that bastard Trinder".
My old man was such a Glenn Miller fan he gave me a middle name after his. My mother endorsed his decision as she had seen Glenn Miller down in Bletchley when she worked down there. His disappearance still remains a mystery.
I've mentioned this before, but back in 1964 when I was arguing with my dad about the Rolling Stones and he said in in a few months no one would remember them, my grandma said take no notice. You should have heard him and his dad arguing about Glenn Miller when he said that when the war was over and the Yanks went home everyone here would forget about them. That remark of my dad's about the Stones was one I often reminded him of right up to him passing away in 1995.
