could be, from the usa, made number 20 in the uk charts in 1977 during the punk/new wave thing.

Just looked up the Wiki entry (link below) on Mink DeVille and in the section "The Capitol years" there's a reference to Velvet Underground. The timing's seems right, which does suggest possible influence ? Never got wind of them in the late 70's over here.
Anyway - thanks for posting their tune - I'll check out more of their recordings. :emoticon-0100-smile:emoticon-0148-yes:

you're welcome. thinking about it, i can't bring any of their other stuff to mind. it was a while back though! that one was a 45 i considered and never got round to buying, but should have done.
